The Heights CDC Staff

The Heights CDC prides itself on our teachers and staff.  All of our teachers are provided with continuing education and mandated training hours throughout the school year.  Our teachers and staff have strong Christian beliefs and share a love and joy for all children.  The majority of our staff are moms themselves, many previous school teachers and all are blessed with a fun, child-like attitude!

KATY ELKINS

DIRECTOR

Katy has been a life long member of The Heights Church and is a proud alumni of The Heights CDC. Her connection with The Heights runs deeper than just being a church member. Since 2007, Katy has served in the Student Ministry, Preschool Ministry, Kids Ministry, Childcare Team and on the Hospitality team. Katy graduated in 2019 from Texas A&M University- Commerce with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a teaching degree for EC-6. Before joining us at The Heights CDC, Katy was teaching 3rd grade in Wylie ISD. 

LAURA KOHUTEK

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Laura has been a member of The Heights Church for 19 years and on staff for 16 years. She was a CDC 2 yr old teacher for 1 year before transitioning to The Heights Preschool Ministry full time. Laura is now moving into the Assistant Director role where she now splits between the CDC and The Heights Preschool Ministry. Laura is married to her high school sweetheart, has 3 children, all of whom are CDC alumni! In her spare time, Laura enjoys traveling, movies and naps.

KATIE TURNER

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/REGISTRAR

Katie and her family have recently moved back to Texas after following her husband to San Diego for his military duties. She was once a Heights CDC preschooler and has always dreamed of her own daughter, Finley, becoming a CDC kid, too! Her love for children and the amazing program here at the Heights is what brought her back. Her hobbies include volunteering with animal shelters, fitness and reading books.

HOLLY LIEOU

FINANCIAL COORDINATOR

Holly has been a member of The Heights Church for 21 years and on staff for 13 years. She was the CDC Younger Preschool Music teacher for 8 years before moving into the financial role that she now splits between the CDC and The Heights Church Business Office. She has served in several ministries including Preschool, Kids, Students and Worship, and was very active on PTA boards while her children were in school. Holly is married, with two adult daughters ages 21 and 19, both of whom are CDC alumni! In her spare time, Holly enjoys traveling, movies and reading.
