Welcome to The Heights Child Development Center! Established in 1956, The Heights has been providing a loving, caring, Christian experience to children for over 60 years. The CDC is a weekday program offered September to May on Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for children ages 2 months to Transitional Kindergarten. Designed to meet the needs of the total child, our program helps the child develop in all areas: mentally, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually.

We invite you to explore our website and see what all the CDC has to offer. With the collective learning of our experienced staff, we have surpassed expectations in creating an environment that not only gives the best possible care for your child, but offers an atmosphere of creativity, learning and fun. Our focus has always been on offering small class sizes and low student/teacher ratios.

The Heights CDC offers an exciting learning experience for your child through a center-based, hands on curriculum. Our motto is to learn through play … “if we aren’t getting messy, we aren’t learning!” We challenge children with a Biblically-based curriculum that captures their imagination by offering a learning environment where they can make discoveries, solve problems and think independently in God’s world.

The staff of the CDC is like no other. Our teachers are here because they want to be here. They love their God, love your children, and love this school! Many of our teachers started out as parents in our program. Their experience ranges from over 25 years to 1 year classroom experience. The teacher selection process evaluates education, qualification, experience, certification, references, classroom management skills, interaction with children, and a love for Christ. All of our staff is carefully selected and maintains their status through continuing education and training as mandated by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services Child Care Licensing. Each and every staff member has been extensively background checked, fingerprinted and maintains current CPR and First Aid certification.
