Carpool Information

We are so excited to offer carpool as a drop-off/pick-up option for our Older Preschool families. Carpool will begin on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024. We encourage families to utilize carpool for their three- and four-year-old children, as this is a fantastic opportunity to build independence and responsibility. If you have any questions about carpool, please email CDC@theheights.org.

When is Carpool?

Morning Carpool

Morning Carpool is offered Tuesday through Friday.

  • We will begin unloading cars at 9:00am and will wrap up once the carline has cleared out.
  • If you arrive after morning carpool has ended, please drive around and walk your child in through the Family Entrance.
  • Please note, morning carpool is not available if your child will be attending Early Care.

Afternoon Carpool

Afternoon Carpool is offered on Tuesday and Wednesdays.

  • We will begin loading cars at 1:50pm and will wrap up one the carpool line has cleared out.
  • On Thursday and Fridays, parents will enter the building through the Family Entrance and pick-up children from their classrooms.
  • Please note, afternoon carpool is not available if your child will be attending Stay-N-Play.

Where is Carpool?

  • CDC carpool will take place on the front side of the church (facing Central Expressway).
  • We ask that families enter the parking lot from the Highway 75 service road. Please do NOT enter through the Renner Road entrance. This interferes with the flow of carpool and can cause a back-up onto Renner Road. This is a traffic safety concern for the police, and they have asked up to be carful not to let this happen.
  • Please see the map below to familiarize yourself with the carpool route for morning and afternoon carpool.

Who runs Carpool?

We are blessed with the support of Heights Pastors to make morning carpool happen. Each morning a team of Heights Pastors will be ready to open car doors and welcome children for the day. Our CDC Staff will be stationed appropriately to greet children and to ensure that they make it to the appropriate destination.

Bucking & Unbuckling

Please note that our CDC Staff and Heights Pastors are unable to assist your child with buckling or unbuckling their seatbelt. For morning carpool, we ask families to unbuckle children once lined up in the carpool line. In the afternoon, we ask families to pull to the loading zone in front of the cross to assist your child with buckling. Please do not exit your vehicle while in the carpool line.
